Neuland has taken more than 300 processes from gram to commercial scale. We’ve filed 400 DMFs worldwide for 60 APIs. We have more than 400 clients in 80 countries, and we offer multiple state-of-the-art US FDA-, EDQM- and PDMA-approved manufacturing facilities.
So what’s my point? As a contract manufacturer based in Hyderabad – and with clients spread around the world – this should come as no surprise: for us, Pharma truly is global. Sometimes, it seems it has taken quite some time to get to a truly global industry, and certainly there’s plenty of distance left to travel. Regulatory regimes seem to be firming up around the world, though variations in regulatory systems and the accompanying intricacy of multi-nation compliance remains a challenge for some (yes, even the largest) firms.
Regardless, it’s definitely a global industry. The barriers to buying APIs or farming out research and production to the Far East, here on the subcontinent, in Europe or elsewhere continue to lower. The broad reticence of drug developers to outsource abroad has likewise crumbled over the last thirty years.
So yes, for us it’s definitely a global industry.
That’s why we continue to expand our footprint worldwide, and continue to deliver APIs, peptides, and contract manufacturing services that meet the most stringent global standards possible.
